        Flixweed is a winter
annual that occurs in waste areas, fields, roadsides, and other disturbed sites.
Mature plants grow 8 to 24 inches tall. Leaves are alternate, 2 to 3 times
pinnuately compound. Seedlings have narrow cotyledons with stalks. Juvenile stages have
ovate shaped leaves in a rosette arrangement, deeply lobed margins, and covered in
star-shaped hairs.  Inflorescence a raceme. Flower petals very small, yellow or
greenish-yellow.  Flixweed is distinguished from other mustards because of its finely
        dissected leaves. |
